Mehmet Gem Bsc (hons) MSc

Mehmet Gem

Mehmet graduated with a Bsc (hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Hertfordshire in 2007 and went onto complete a (Pre-Reg) Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Essex soon after. Since then Mehmet has worked as the first team physiotherapist for AFC Sudbury, Barking RFC, Tabard RFC (Women’s and Youth teams), and worked closely with the elite level youth rugby and football players as the physiotherapist at the West Suffolk Sports Academy and for Essex U16 RFC. He has subsequently worked in private practice for the last seven years. With a strong interest in sports rehabilitation and weight training, Mehmet has also developed a clinical interest in Hip and Groin injuries, specially Femeroacetabular Impingement. He is currently half way through studying for his masters in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire. Mehmet has strong belief in using evidence based practice to direct his treatment approaches and feels that empowering patients with the tools to prevent injuries from reoccurring is imperative.
